Frequently Asked Questions
Our trail rides take you on a guided adventure through the beautiful Vivian forest for 45 to 55 minutes. You will get to experience the sights and sounds of nature while riding one of our trained horses.
Nope! All of our trail rides are guided. You’ll have an experienced guide leading the group, and usually one or two more at the back to make sure everyone stays safe and has a good time.
We take you into the Vivan forest’s North Tract section on narrow and wide sections of the trail.
At this time, we don’t offer double riding. For safety and to keep our horses comfortable, each rider needs to be on their own horse.
Our trail rides are $90 per person (before tax).
We aim to cap our rides at 6-8 riders (plus the guides), however we may go bigger in certain situations.
Yup! Text or call us (647-964-6773) and we can try our best to accommodate for large groups.
Private rides may be available depending on the season. Feel free to contact us to discuss options, as pricing can vary depending on the time of year and day of the week.
The $45 booking deposit is required to reserve your spot and is applied toward your total trail ride cost. It helps secure your time slot and ensures fairness for others looking to book the same time.
Yes, all riders are required to sign a waiver before participating in a trail ride. This is for the safety of both the rider and the horse.
Yes, all riders are required to wear a helmet, and boots with a heel. Both are provided free of charge.
Yes — you’re welcome to bring your own helmet as long as it is a properly fitted, certified riding helmet. For insurance and safety purposes, accepted helmets must meet current equestrian standards such as ASTM/SEI (North America), PAS 015 (UK), VG1 (Europe), or other recognized equestrian safety certifications approved under Ontario equine insurance guidelines.
Bringing you’re own boots is encouraged as long as it has a 1-1.5 inch heel gap (eg. Timberlands) .
If your group would still like to go out in the rain our guides will take you out, however extreme winds and thunder may require us to cancel the ride. If you choose to not go out in the rain, you can let us know the day before and we can reschedule your booking.
No experience is needed! We provide a training demonstration and give you hands on time with the horses before we head out into the forest.
We do! Winter rides in the snow are offered on weekends, however this is dependent on the amount of ice that is on the trail, and other conditions that may make it not possible.
Whatever you feel comfortable to move around in (and maybe looks good in photos), however dressing to the weather conditions is recommended. For chillier days, we recommend bundling up as much as possible.
Nope! Our trails very rarely have any of these on them.
We ask that all riders stow away electronics devices to maintain control of the horse, however our trail guides take lots of photos and videos for you, and transfer them to you at the end of the ride free of charge.
Due to forest regulations for waterway preservation, our horses aren’t able to go into the water.
